Hi everyone! Last week I went to visit my friend Trevor, who was living in Singapore. He recently quit his job and was preparing to move back to the US, so I wanted to see him before he left. 

We spent two days in Singapore, three days in Penang (an island in Malaysia), and one day in Kuala Lumpur. Both Singapore and Malaysia are melting pots of different cultures and ethnicities, so there's always something interesting to see or do. I also had a chance to meet some other friends who live in Singapore and KL. It was a great trip!

Some highlights: 
-Saw the Merlion and Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore
-Went to the Singapore Zoo
-Hiked in a National Park in the jungles of Penang
-Rented a car and drove all around the island
-Watched a World Cup match with a bunch of backpackers from all over the world
-Met a lot of wonderful, friendly people
-Tried a few foods for the first time, including jellyfish, stingray, and century eggs
