Last weekend I went to the International Budo Culture Seminar. The seminar was at International Budo University in Katsuura, Chiba Prefecture. The seminar is sponsored by the Nippon Budokan. 

The seminar is for foreigners who practice a Japanese martial art (budo). About 100 foreigners and 20 Japanese teachers from nine martial arts gathered together for four days. 

 All of the teachers are very high ranking and famous in their budo. I practice Aikido and Kyudo. Below you can watch the Kyudo demonstration.

We also had a chance to try new martial arts. I tried Judo, Shorinji Kempo and Karate. Here is a picture of me with two of the university students helping with the Judo practice.

This was my third time to go to this event. Every time I go, I have a lot of fun meeting new people from Japan and many different countries. In fact, this year, I shared a taxi ride with a lady from Uganda. All of the participants are so nice and friendly.
